For children under the age of 10, I use Suzuki Method inspired instruction. This is designed to be tailored to how children at that age learn, maximizing their improvement on the trombone. Parents are also required to be involved during lessons, and guide the child’s practice throughout the week as well.

That’s ok! Most children who are too small to hold a full size trombone start on plastic alto trombones. These are a fraction of the weight, size and cost, and are much harder to break. Once they are old enough, we will transition them to a full size trombone.
